How You’ll Make an Impact

The Shipping Assistant is responsible for daily shipping as assigned by Managers/Supervisors, and must be able to process orders for shipping. This includes transcribing device information into the database and verifying order and device manufacturing accuracy. This Shipping Assistant must be knowledgeable and proficient in all operations of the Distribution Warehouse and strive to provide the highest quality of services to both inside and outside customers. Perform the SAP Delivery Processor role for the planning, scheduling, and distribution of domestic and international customer orders. In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and processing customer sale orders through the SAP MRP system for purposes of tendering to carriers through TMS (Transportation Management System), and the scheduling of pick-up and delivery of customer orders on time.
  • Maintaining a straight line of communication to the CSR's, the customer service and logistics departments, and plant personnel for puropses of planning, scheduling, updating, and delivery of finished materials to customers both internally and externally
  • Ensuring changes to orders, invoicing, credits, inventory adjustments, coding and product returns are all properly applied within the SAP MRP system and are communicated to all affected parties.
  • Documentation and processing of documents related to the export of materials and any GHS labeling requirements are met.
  • Assisting in the tracking of mis-shipments and errors from preparation and processing of customer orders fo purposes of driving order fulfillment improvement.
  • Processing all cycle counts, reviewing and investigating variances, and posting in SAP MRP system. Run exception reports and cycle count reports as required.

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience doing standard office work within a warehouse environment
  • Previous customer service exposure
  • Experience in SAP MRP systems
  • Experience working in a pick / pack warehouse in a line environment
  • RF scanner and inventory management experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be quality minded and have a strong attention to detail
  • Must have a strong sense of teamwork, a quick work pace and a friendly, outgoing demeanor capable of getting along well with co-workers and managers
  • Prior computer skills to include: MS Office, Outlook, SAP, Proprietary shipping software programs, etc.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
