*Valvoline Global Products Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY and this position will be on-site, but with the ability to work a hybrid schedule.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The Senior Marketing Specialist is focused on trade marketing and will help deliver sustained, profitable growth for Valvoline's DIFM (Do It For Me) installer channel group, while leading various project management deliverables and oversight of strategic growth objectives. This role is responsible for day-to-day trade spend and promotional marketing planning for DIFM accounts. This role will work closely with the various brand managers and associate brand managers to prioritize initiatives for the sales team. In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Marketing Management - Partnering across the marketing team to develop and optimize best-in-class marketing executions and communications to support promotion and capability sell-in and management utilizing outside vendors. Optimize and manage ROI across programs, including development of timely scorecards and share outs to senior marketing and sales leadership.
  • Partnership Development - Assisting sales team with customer POSM needs, managing POSM assets, managing multiple communications channels and customer specific need development. Be key trade marketing point of contact for sales organization.
  • Analytics and Budget Management - Leading analysis of promotional plans for optimization in fiscal year and as part of strategic planning process. Manage consumer promotions budget, ROI, scorecard and reporting to senior management.
  • Growth in Installer Channel - Identifying opportunities for growth across channel business through analysis and solutions development. Pro-actively investigate and suggest improvements to current programs while developing new solutions to better meet customer needs.
  • Digital Innovation - Identifying opportunities to enhance workflows and programs and develop recommendations on how to implement digital enhancements to minimize or eliminate manual processes.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience
  • Strategic Thinker/Data Based -- Ability to distill and synchronize various data sources to develop fact-based and strategically sound recommendations for your business.
  • Analysis and Attention to Detail - ideal candidate will be able to analyze separate sources of data to build a cohesive story and will dig into the data to understand trends and find more efficient ways of promotion execution and analysis.
  • Digital Savviness - Proven ability to leverage digital technology and marketing to effectively and efficiently grow the business.
  • Highly Communicative- Strive to over communicate and ensure all key stakeholders are kept informed of progress. Enable partners to "self-serve" while also instilling confidence that projects are being pro-actively managed.
  • Collaborative - Demonstrated ability to pull from and leverage diverse thinking, ideas, and viewpoints from across the business to build an optimal solution / approach.
