How You’ll Make an Impact

The Demand Planning Manager for Retail Services will be at the forefront of the implementation of the new demand planning tool for Valvoline Retail Services (VRS) and have a significant impact on the design. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide a demand plan within the desired level of accuracy. This role will partner with the S&OP manager to gather the necessary inputs to manage the demand plan at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons. The role will have responsibility for the execution within the demand planning tool. In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • The design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the new demand planning tool and processes.
  • Gathering information that affects demand such as: new product introductions, promotions, changing market conditions, pricing changes, and obsolescence from the S&OP manager to adjust demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation, for multiple time horizons to ensure VRS achieves the desired forecast accuracy.
  • The execution within the demand planning tool.
  • Creating reporting to measure LIFR, monitor orders vs deliveries, and orders vs forecast to understand supplier and store performance.
  • The creation, storage, and maintenance of the process documentation pertaining to demand planning.
  • Creating processes to identify data integrity issues and conduct root cause analysis to help reduce future issues.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of five years' professional supply chain experience
  • Understanding of S&OP processes
  • History with forecasting and planning processes and tools
  • Background in data analytics
  • Process documentation experience

  •  

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work cross-functionally

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Understanding and ability to explain supply chain KPI's

  • Self-directed

  • Effective communicator throughout all levels of the organization

  • Ability to coach and motivate direct reports

  • Experience with BI tools

  • Experience with optimization of processes through continuous improvement

  • Must be customer focused 

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 

What Will Set You Apart

  • APICS certification in Production and Inventory Management or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
