How You’ll Make an Impact

The Franchise Trainer provides Great Canadian Oil Change SuperPro training using instructional materials, verbal communications, and hands-on demonstrations to franchisees and their team members. Training is provided on-site at franchise stores or franchise training rooms. In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • In-store training, including:
    • Oil change process execution
    • Proper use of training tools
    • How to improve average ticket results
    • How to maximize OCPD
    • Proper floor management
    • Inventory controls and ordering procedures
    • Proper scheduling
    • Proper staffing
    • Store appearance
    • Curb appeal
    • Recruiting
    • Team member onboarding
    • Employee appraisals
    • Retention of quality personnel
  • Facilitating classroom training which includes a complete portfolio of classes offered by VIOCF, including:
    • Cornerstone Series
    • Leadership Series
  • Administrative work, consisting of:
    • Providing professionally written follow-ups to franchisees, FBC, and field leaders
    • Documenting visits and follow-ups in Salesforce and updating trainer calendar
    • Managing personal travel schedule based on training requests from FBC  
  • Assisting with franchise new store openings
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion
  • Travel 80% of workdays

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of two years retail services management or training experience in a retail services environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Abiity to influence without authority
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Classroom facilitation experience
  • Business acumen
  • Composure
  • Conflict management skills
  • Must be customer focused
  • Interpersonal savvy
  • Managerial courage
