How You’ll Make an Impact

The  Asset Management Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining processes, policies, standards, systems and measurements that help the organization to effectively manage, both on a daily basis and long-term, its IT asset portfolio (software and technology-related hardware) with regards to cost, control, risk, compliance, and business performance objectives, as established by the Company. May manage projects/processes and work independently with limited supervision and coach and review the work of lower level professionals. In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Planning, monitoring, and recording hardware assets and/or software licenses. Ensures effective management of the CMDB and the content contained is accurate. Designs processes relating to software and hardware asset management, executes and enhances them. Establishes and maintains documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management. Establishes and maintains hardware and software maintenance database.
  • Applying a continuous improvement approach in enhancing the strategies employed in technology spending, as well as in tracking company assets within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) throughout their lifecycle.
  • Managing lifecycle of hardware and software models in ServiceNow from their introduction to their retirement.
  • Defining and enhancing scheme for identifying hardware and software-related assets as well as CIs, including versioning and dependencies in the asset management tools, attributes, and the CMDB.
  • Managing inventory of CIs and assets, including dependencies and attributes, making sure that modifications, withdrawals, and additions of existing ones are correctly recorded by the teams in charge in the tools to ensure the vendor contracts are in compliance.
  • Managing asset recovery of unreturned depot program hardware assets, including the creation and distribution of reporting of outstanding units related to all depot programs to corporate and franchising operations groups on a weekly basis. Processes billing requests for unreturned depot items for restocking purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) / IT Asset Management (ITAM) domain or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IT software and hardware
  • Strong ability to interpret contracts and licenses agreements
  • Proven ability and experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfully
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Strong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision
  • Excellent at performing multiple tasks at the same time without erring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 

What Will Set You Apart

  • Strong knowledge working with a CMDB and the specific business services it supports
  • ITSM tool experience, as well as ServiceNow experience
  • Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes, as well as experience with Discovery tool
