*Valvoline World Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY, but we invite candidates living in nearby markets to apply as well. Ideally, we are open to remote candidates living within driving distance (i.e., Cincinnati, Louisville, etc.) willing to visit HQs monthly and as needed.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

The Analytics Architect will be responsible for building data marts and tools for use by the other analytics team members and Global Products business users; collect, transform and integrate data from any available source producing information that is readily consumable; and build repeatable, automated processes for maintaining those data marts.  This role will build the information foundation for Global Products to use in a wide variety of situations. In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Developing tools to drive continuous improvement in business processes (marketing attribution, customer segmentation, pricing, etc) enabling the development of insightful visualizations out of complicated analytics and actionable recommendations for the business teams
  • Data modeling and integration of multiple sources of data into centralized data marts for consumption by the project team and other business units
  • Working on ad hoc projects as needed to provide business insights or data modeling
  • Aiding in leadership and development of the business analytics team to provide key insights into maximizing business value through a data-focused approach
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, accounting, IT or a technical field
  • Minimum five years of experience in business analysis or data modeling
  • Strong analytical skills with a record of developing and integrating complex data sets
  • Experience using SQL or other tools to transform and store data
  • Experience gathering and defining requirements reports and/or dashboards
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
